By using PFIC Ledger (the "Service"), operated by Ripplarity Inc ("we"), you agree to these Terms.
1. Not tax advice
The Service provides general information, estimates and computational workpapers. It is not tax, legal, accounting or investment advice. Nothing on the Service is a recommendation about your specific situation.
2. No preparer or advisory relationship
We are not your tax return preparer, and using the Service creates no preparer, advisor, fiduciary or professional-client relationship. We do not prepare, sign or file returns. If we introduce you to a partner CPA, any engagement is solely between you and that CPA, on their terms.
3. Estimates may be wrong
Results depend on the statement you provide, how it is parsed, exchange rates, the dates you enter, and method choices (for example, lot ordering, holding-period start and currency conversion). A qualified preparer may reasonably choose differently. Statements may be misread or incomplete, and some holdings may be flagged as unsupported. You accept that results may be inaccurate or incomplete.
4. Your responsibility
You are solely responsible for your tax filings, elections, payments and deadlines, and for having a qualified professional review any figures before you use them.
5. Paid workpapers
Paid workpapers, when offered, are computations produced from your statement in your browser for you and your preparer to review. They are not a completed or signed return. Price is shown at checkout. Refunds: No paid products are offered at this time and nothing is charged; if paid workpapers open, this section will state the refund terms before any charge is taken..
6. Acceptable use
Do not misuse the Service, attempt to disrupt it, or submit data that is not yours to use.
7. Disclaimer of warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for taxes, interest, penalties or lost profits arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the claim or US$100.
9. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be resolved in the state and federal courts located in Delaware, USA.
10. Changes
We may update these Terms by posting a new version here. Continued use after changes means you accept them.
